The most important thing is to stay calm and ensure everyone is safe. First, check for injuries. If anyone is hurt, call 911 immediately. If it's safe to do so, move your vehicle out of traffic. Turn on your hazard lights. Exchange contact and insurance information with the other driver(s), but do not admit fault. Use your phone to take pictures of the scene, all vehicles involved, and the other party's license plate and insurance card. Finally, call us. We can advise you on next steps, help you understand how to file a claim, and arrange for a tow if needed. We are here to be your advocate from the very start.
